Hi There!

Jake Hirsch is a multi-faceted instrumentalist, instructor, and producer based in the Boston area.

Since the age of fourteen he has been performing and gigging on saxophone, clarinet, and guitar. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Jake grew up in twelve different towns due to his family’s military background, and in Hawaii he was introduced to the music of Michael Brecker by his high school band director. He then decided to study Jazz Composition and Performance at Berklee College of Music, where he had the opportunity to study with world renowned faculty such as George Garzone, Bob Gullotti, Ralph Peterson, and Shannon LeClaire, and performed with artists such as Bill Frisell, Kurt Elling, Donald Harrison, and Zakir Hussain.

He primarily performs with a variety of groups throughout New England on saxophone and clarinet but also plays guitar and sax in his progressive fusion band, LON, and on his progressive metal project, Snakedersch.
